Vince has spent the last 18 years in various areas of finance, in companies ranging from wireless start-up to investment research to Canada’s largest communications company. Involved in raising in excess of $10 billion in Canadian and international capital markets during sometimes turbulent financial markets, Vince brings to Tribal Nova first-hand experience of what the markets expect and what businesses must deliver for operational and financial success. After starting his career in finance at BCE during which time he was part of a group that raised in excess of $9 billion, Vince joined start-up Clearnet Communications where he was responsible for treasury, business planning and investor relations and was part of a two-person team that raised over $1.6 billion of capital. During his tenure at Clearnet, Vince was a key contributor to the build and launch of two wireless networks. Gaining key insight into the challenges of launching new technology in the telecom sector in the late ‘90s and early ‘00s at wireless data start-up MaxLink Communications led Vince to join GMP Securities where he was a key member of the Telecom, Cable & Media research team. His insight into the wireless industry helped earn GMP mention in the Fall 2004 Brendan Woods Survey, the key review of investment research professionals in Canada. Prior to joining Tribal Nova, Vince was CFO of Kontagious, a mobile media start-up, and a consultant to technology companies and VC funds. Vince is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.
